About Us
The Cabrini Nuclear Medicine and PET Department provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations. Equipped with two Nuclear Medicine cameras (SPECT/CT) and a PET camera that is soon to be upgraded, the department delivers high-quality imaging to support a wide range of clinical needs.
The department performs a full suite of Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging studies, supporting specialties including oncology, cardiology, and neurology. In addition to diagnostic imaging, Cabrini offers a variety of targeted therapies such as radioactive iodine (I-131) for thyroid disease, Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT), OncoBeta therapy for non-melanoma skin cancers, and Theranostic treatments using Lu-177 PSMA for prostate cancer.
Cabrini Nuclear Medicine and PET is also actively involved in numerous clinical trials, contributing to advancements in cancer care, heart disease evaluation, and neurological imaging.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our comprehensive Nuclear Medicine and PET Department at Cabrini Malvern. Working within a supportive and collaborative environment, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to a high professional standard. Key responsibilities include conducting imaging examinations, assisting with the efficient daily operation of the department, contributing to quality control and assurance programs, and participating in the departmental on-call roster. Previous PET experience is desirable, and this role offers the opportunity to be part of an innovative team dedicated to excellence in patient care and imaging.
About you
To be successful in this role you require a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation) in Nuclear Medicine Technology or accepted equivalent.
You will also have:
- Registration with AHPRA.
- Current Radiation Use Licence (Department of Health).
- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to take direction and prioritise work.
- Sound communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
