ABOUT THE ROLE

The Nurse Manager will be based at Southwest Health Campus, Bunbury and will be overseeing the care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures and maintaining a cohesive and effective Nursing team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Rostering and maintaining a cohesive and effective team
  • Ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Preparation of patients undergoing examinations such as Ultrasound, CT and MRI, including IV Cannulation
  • Responsible for staff training including IV Cannulation, CPR and as otherwise required
  • Assistance in the performance of Medical Imaging procedures
  • Admission and consent of patients undergoing procedures such as biopsy, drainage, and fluoroscopy


ABOUT YOU

  • Registered Nurse, Division 1 [General] with current Registration with AHPRA
  • IV Cannulation qualification
  • Proven effective leadership skills
  • Experience in creating protocols and procedures
  • Full understanding of infection control and sterile procedures
  • Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Flexibility for overtime requirements as rostered and required
  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to maintain current knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards of the department and organization
  • Must be able to travel around Apex 6 other practices.
