THE ROLE
For our client, we are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager in either Medical or Oncology. You will oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit in our client's healthcare facility overseeing the supervising of nursing staff, ensuring high quality patient care, managing budgets and resources, collaborating with healthcare professionals, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and providing ongoing education for your team. Coburg location with the flexibility to work across multiple locations.
THE ESSENTIALS
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children Check
- Minimum of 3 years of local experience at the NUM level or in a similar role
- Compliance with ACSQHC National Standards
- Strong commitment to professional development in a management capacity
- Proficient in computer use, including MS Office and various databases
- Demonstrated skills in time management
- Experience in HR management
- Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Manage daily operations in a strong, effective manner, with highly effective communication
- Postgraduate qualification in Advanced Nursing Practice or Cancer Care- Previous Nurse Unit Management experience
- Previous comprehensive management experience within a hospital environment
- Foster a culture of excellence in patient care and safety
- Collaborate with teams to drive innovative practices
- Provide mentorship and support to staff in your Nurse unit, ensuring professional development
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient centered care throughout the entire process
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian Clinical Health Standards
- Development of strong collaborative relationships internally and externally
