About the Role
You are accountable for performing all assigned tasks providing both excellence in patient care and ensuring that the role is performed to facilitate effective functioning of the Operating Suite.
- Competent knowledge and preparation of required resources and equipment for the procedure in the Operating Theatre
- Patient preparation and care including safe transportation and positioning of the patient
- Housekeeping management to provide a clean environment with all equipment required for the procedure
Classifications for this position will range from IN8 - IN10 ($33 - $37 per hour).
Your Contribution
- Certificate III in Health (Theatre Technician)
- Certificate IV in Operating Suite technical Support
- Previous experience working in operating theatre environment
- Ability to undertake and fulfill all physical aspects of the job description, demonstrating safe and effective patient care
- Ability to work both independently and with in the Perioperative team
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
- Ability to commit to rotating roster

About Operating Suite
St Vincent's Operating Suite currently houses 12 theatres, 12 anaesthetic rooms and a Post Anaesthetic Care Area. Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre, Day Procedures and Endoscopy Centres the department undertakes over 10,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week.
