Patient Orderly

GenesisCare is currently looking for an Orderly to join the GenesisCare team at our Auchenflower – Wesley Hospital Clinic on a Full-time basis.

In this role you will be responsible for providing support to Nursing and Medical Staff associated with direct patient care. Orderlies are also responsible for the internal transportation of patient, patient related and non-patient related items within the hospital.

More specifically, you will:

• Provide timely transportation for inpatients attending the facility to ensure seamless workflow
• Engage with and develop rapport with patients and staff
• Assist with safe manual handling tasks
• Perform audits as required
• Clean and disinfect clinical patient equipment as required
• Perform consumable stock rotation
• Respond to emergency situations as required
• Other tasks as directed by senior staff members NUM/CL

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• CPR accredited
• Manual handling certificate or equivalent training
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous orderly experience essential
• Medical clearance to perform all aspects of the role
• Open driver’s license
• National Police clearance (arranged on successful employment)
