About the Role
This exciting role is responsible for providing admin support and facilitating patient management to various clinical areas within SVHM, whilst covering vacancies within the current team. You will be involved in admitting and discharging patients, reception duties and delivering customer service of a high standard.
- Create patient records and complete all necessary information accurately and in line with current procedures
- Admit patients accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a high level of customer service by handling patient enquires via telephone and in person, in an efficient, professional, and caring manner
- Arrange appointments for patients as requested by clinical staff
The classification for this position will be HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $64,610 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- Previous administration experience in a health setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of private health fund billing and public health funding
- Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Team
St Vincent’s has an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join the Environmental Services Team and work as a Patient Services Clerk on a casual basis. The expectation is that role would require availability to work Monday to Sunday and range in times from 6:30 am starts to 8:00 pm finishes. Positions are available for both the Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Kew sites.
