Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (Advanced or Proficient level)– Community-based, Adelaide, SA

You will be joining a leader in the Allied Health space in South Australia who are a registered NDIS therapy provider whose mission is to provide unparalleled therapy and support to participants within the NDIS space.

As a multi-disciplinary team, you will be joining an existing team of OT’s, Physiotherapists and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners.
The role
As the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work closely with NDIS participants to deliver quality, person-centred, and customer focused outcomes in an efficient and safe working environment.
The duties and responsibilities of the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will include, but not be limited to:
- Observe and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and review against individual plans and set goals
- Complete behavioural assessments including functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence based therapy strategies and behaviour support plans
- Educate, support and liaise with participants, carers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health professionals to provide multi-disciplinary care
- Ensure all documentation is appropriately updated to the clinical standard required by the NDIS
- Adhere to code of ethics and practices
- Participate in review meetings and case conferences as appropriate
About you
To be considered for the role, you will be a qualified Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who has a drive to assist clients in a community-based NDIS setting.
In addition, you will also have:
- Relevant degree, such as Psychology, Social Work or PBSP qualification
- Be assessed as Advanced or Proficient level by NDIS
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Current police clearance
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
- Current driving licence
- Full Australian working rights
