Cabrini Health is continuing to expand its Oncology and Haematology services, creating exciting opportunities to further develop your skills and experience within a specialised clinical setting.

About the role
In this important support role, you will work closely with registered nurses and the broader multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care to patients. You will play a key role in supporting patients through their care journey, helping to create a comfortable, respectful, and supportive environment for both patients and their families.

Flexibility is required to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.

What the role involves

• Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction and supervision of registered nurses
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Respond to patient and family queries, escalating to the registered nurse as appropriate
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive patient environment, including bed making and equipment checks
• Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and respect at all times

What we’re looking for
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and team-focused individual who is passionate about supporting patients and contributing to a positive care environment.

You will bring:

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (or equivalent qualification as per position description)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients and families
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and high standards of care
• Previous experience in an acute hospital setting (preferable)
