Grade 4 Physiotherapist - Workforce & Innovations Lead

About the Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified physiotherapists for a part time, fixed term Grade 4 position, leading workforce development and project management in the Physiotherapy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational and strategic objectives for the Physiotherapy Department Workforce. This is a key operational role, supporting the Physiotherapy Department Manager. Responsibilities will include recruitment, staff supervision and development, informing workforce strategy and driving key initiatives to improve systems, expand services and enhance the day to day operations of the Physiotherapy Department. They will have responsibility for quality activities within the physiotherapy department, provide representation of St Vincent’s Health in areas of expertise and assist in other tasks as directed/delegated.

Must have, or be currently eligible for, National Physiotherapist Registration.

Duties include

  • Provide operational support to the physiotherapy Manager, as directed
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and implement operational and strategic objectives for the Physiotherapy Workforce
  • In collaboration with the Physiotherapy Manager and Physiotherapy Leadership Team, develop, implement and evaluate projects and service initiatives to improve or expand practice within Physiotherapy Department
  • Provide expert and authoritative advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions regarding physiotherapy department workforce development
  • Participate in and lead staff recruitment and supervision as required



Your contribution

  • Minimum 10 years relevant clinical and leadership postgraduate experience
  • Extensive experience and expertise within a clinical leadership role at a senior level, including staff supervision
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills
  • Advanced interpersonal, liaison and negotiating skills with the ability to network effectively
  • Highly developed problem solving and negotiation and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as part of team
