THE ROLE

Within a Residential Aged Care setting you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and hygiene of resident's feet, focusing on improving comfort, reducing pain, and enhancing mobility. You will be responsible for managing the ability to walk with less pain and discomfort, improved mobility and stability, professional advice on supportive footwear, regular treatment of minor infections, gait analysis and orthotic therapy, and early detection of health issues related to foot ailments. You will also assess and report on the condition of resident's feet, document concerns, recommend treatments, identify symptoms related to broader health issues, and develop ongoing foot care programs.

THE ESSENTIALS

  • Relevant qualification in Podiatry
  • General AHPRA registration without notation
  • Full, unrestricted working rights within Australia - sponsorship is NOT available.
  • WWCC and National Police Checks
  • The ability to obtain an NDIS Workers Screening Check
