- New Grade 4 Psychology Educator Leadership role
- Permanent / Part time position
- Based in Fitzroy, and across SVHM sites as required
About the Role
You are an experienced leader and passionate about strengthening education opportunities for psychologists within public health. You will work closely with the Director of Psychology and fellow allied health/mental health leaders across SVHM to build and coordinate a psychology education program. The role will be mainly based within the Mental Health Program as that is where most of our psychologists work. Some key duties will include:
- Establishing an early career program for provisional psychologists and Registrars.
- Providing clinical supervision to junior and senior staff, also supporting our current Supervisors
- Identifying the education and training needs for the SVHM Psychology workforce.
Classifications for this position will range from PM1-PM5 (Grade 4) $123,302.40 - $148,309.20 per annum, pro rata for part time).
Your Contribution
- AHPRA Psychology General Registration with Clinical Endorsement
- Board approved Supervisor with extensive supervision experience
- Minimum of 8 years relevant postgraduate clinical experience in and knowledge of psychology and clinical service provision within a health care setting
- Previously worked in healthcare leadership roles
- Teaching/Training/Academic experience
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Psychology Department @ SVHM
Psychology is a newly formed department and starting to strengthen its connectivity and governance footprints with new leadership roles. Psychology is one of the valued allied health disciplines at SVHM. There are approximately 50 Psychologists who provide services within the Allied Health, Mental Health, Continuing Care, and Specialist Services directorates. Our Psychology workforce includes as variety of specialities, mainly Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists. Most of our Psychologists are based at the two SVHM hospitals in Fitzroy and Kew. We also have some psychologists working in North Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Hawthorn.
