Apex Radiology is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging in Western Australia which supports public and private clinics. With locations across Bunbury, Mandurah, Busselton, Margaret River, and Perth, Apex delivers comprehensive imaging services including CT, MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, BMD, interventional radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team at Peel Health Campus in Mandurah.

This is a 6-month fixed-term part-time contract (with potential to extend), working Monday to Friday with Saturday shifts on rotation. Hours are rostered four weeks in advance, totalling 64 hours per fortnight (4 days per week).

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for patients and referrers, delivering a high standard of customer service and administrative support. Responsibilities include:

• Welcome patients and manage front-desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner
• Answer telephone enquiries and respond efficiently and sensitively to patient needs
• Schedule patient appointments and determine examination requirements
• Communicate preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients
• Register patients, manage paperwork, and handle billing and EFTPOS transactions
• Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of reports
• Perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching

About You

• Patient-focused with a calm, professional approach
• Previous medical reception experience (imaging, GP or allied health preferred)
• Strong communication and data entry skills
• Confident using multiple systems (RIS, EFTPOS, booking systems)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
