How you will make an impact
Join the first private, voluntary, women’s-only mental health facility in Australia. You will engage with consumers, provide assessment and planning to meet the needs of the consumers and their families/carers, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and evaluate current mental health treatments and interventions to improve patient clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide education and training to consumers, carers, and other healthcare professionals on mental health issues and treatments.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in all aspects of care delivery.
• Acts as the patient's advocate and facilitate the rights of individuals, in accordance with patient requests and the stipulated goals of care.

About you
As a Registered/Enrolled Psychiatric Nurse, you will bring your experience and treat patients with a number of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. You will work as part of our clinical team, optimise patient safety, and ensure the delivery of an exceptional patient experience.

You will have:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
• A bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent plus an approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (for Registered Nurses)
• Diploma in Nursing (for Enrolled Nurses)
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a hospital setting (preferably within private mental health).
• Demonstrated capacity and initiative to operate with autonomy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
