As a ICU Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide specialised care to critically ill patients, closely monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing interventions as needed.
  • Operate and interpret complex medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps to ensure patients are stable and responding positively to treatment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to develop and execute comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Rapidly respond to emergencies, such as cardiac arrests or severe respiratory distress, by implementing life-saving interventions and coordinating the team's efforts.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and recovery plans, empowering them to make informed decisions and contribute to the healing process.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with medical standards, ensuring continuity of care during shifts and handoffs.

What we require from you:

  • APHRA registration
  • Post Graduate qualification in Critical Care nursing
  • Or equivalent clinical experience in the field
  • Flexibility to work full time across a rotating 7-day roster.
  • Complete COVID Vaccinations & 2023 Flu Vaccination, Serology evidence of immunisation status
  • Bachelor’s Or Masters
  • Triage Certificate / ALS (desirable)
  • Current National Police Check & Working with Children’s Check
