Applications are now open for the 2027 Registered Midwife Graduate Program, with ongoing positions available. Your graduate year is the first step in building the career you want—apply early to secure your place.
Our 12-month Midwifery Graduate Program is designed to support your development into a confident, capable midwife. You’ll work closely with mothers and their newborns in those precious early days, while receiving dedicated one-on-one support from experienced clinical midwifery educators. You’ll also be paired with preceptors to strengthen your skills as you transition into the multidisciplinary team.
For those in our 15-month Double Degree Program, you’ll begin with a rotation in a medical or surgical ward, supported by a clinical educator and ward-based preceptor, with ongoing guidance from nurse managers and educators. You will then transition into the 12-month Midwifery Graduate Program.

Application Requirements
- Curriculum vitae (CV): Include details of each clinical placement (length, month, year, facility, ward, casemix, and length of placement)
- Academic transcript: Most recent certified copy, including the grading legend/key page
- Two most recent clinical placement reports. One of these reports must be from Birth Suite. If you are a double degree one report can be from an acute medical or surgical undergraduate placement
- Professional references: Two referees, with at least one from your most recent clinical placement. Include full name, title, phone number, and email address. At least one of these references must be from your most recent clinical placement and from Birth Suite
- Passport-size headshot photo
- Copy of your visa if applicable and passport
