About The Role

  • The Midwife shall assume responsibility for the planning and delivering of holistic patient care for the patients assigned to them.
  • This position is specific to the post-natal ward.
  • Takes responsibility for arranging for his/her roster, ensuring study days and debriefing sessions are noted and included
  • The Midwife shall assume responsibility for the evaluation and documentation of the assessment, planning and implementation and evaluation of nursing care for the patients assigned to them.
  • Responsible to the Nurse Unit Manager for the provision of optimal patient care.
  • Promotes a pro-active approach to communication and seeks assistance as necessary.
  • Work as part of a team in accordance with agreed performance measures.

About You

  • Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience across the Midwifery scope of practice.
  • Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Understand and Function within the ANMC guidelines.
  • Advanced patient service skills.
