About the opportunity:

We’re currently seeking a passionate, skilled and dedicated Registered Midwives to join our maternity unit at St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba. In this role you will work with a highly experienced and committed multi-disciplinary team to ensure our mothers enjoy a high standard of care as they approach the birth of their baby, become a new parent and start life with their new baby.

About us:

St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 197-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients.

Our maternity unit is run by a team of experienced midwives and nursing staff. Birthing is serviced by private obstetric specialists and paediatricians.

Things that work for us:

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife (dual registrations as Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse, highly regarded)
• Ability to work on a permanent part time basis, ideally 36 hours per week
• Willingness to be a positive team member with an attitude to support others and problem solve efficiently
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements
• Current clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability
