Registered Nurse (9 month fixed term contract)

Programmed Care is expanding on our years of experience in delivering community services and is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work with one of our complex care clients in Canberra. Our organisation provides care, support and home services to clients throughout Australia across a variety of programs. Our client base spans across the Disability, Veterans Health, Aged Care and Community Nursing industries.

The Role

The Registered Nurse will support the health outcomes of our client by providing safe, responsive nursing care in the home. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with our Clinical Manager and other disability support workers to support the wellbeing of our client on a 24/7 basis.

This is 9-month temporary contract of 35 hours per week, with potential to extend. The position requires you to work across a fixed 7-day 24 hour rotating roster.

Key Selection Criteria

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• A current Registered Nursing qualification and sound clinical skills appropriate for complex care needs.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the community, aged or disability care environment
• High level of communication skills that display a commitment to care and empathy for clients
• Your own reliable vehicle, drivers’ licence, updated car registration & insurance (KM allowance is payable)
• National Police Clearance Check (completed within last 12 month or willingness to obtain one)
• Passport and/or birth certificate with full working rights in Australia
• Work with Vulnerable People Check
• Evidence of Covid Vaccination (2 doses plus booster within the last 12 months or willingness receive the vaccination)
