About The Role:
- We are looking for remarkable Graduate Nurses who are passionate about nursing to be part of the Mater New Graduate Nurse Program. Our program runs for 18 months and offers 3 different rotations throughout the program.
- We offer orientation to departments, regular protected teaching time, graduate study days, Individualised Learning Plans and have Educators and experienced staff to assist you throughout your program.
About You:
- You must have completed within the past 12 months an undergraduate degree in nursing; or are due to complete the same prior to the start date of the Mater graduate program.
- Have no more than 6 months’ work experience as a Registered Nurse since graduation, if you completed graduation within the past 12 months.
- Meet all requirements and eligibility to apply for National Nursing Registration (APHRA).
- Provide all required documentation as requested via the Mater Workday system.
- Provide documentation supporting Australian Residency status (i.e. proof of residency or citizenship).
- Overseas students must have documented proof of English Language skills test, as accepted by AHPRA or evidence of a booking for a test at the time of interview.
- Be able to undertake 18 months full time or part time employment.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.

About The Mater:
In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.
- One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals.
- Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
- The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
- Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
