As part of our close-knit Radiation Oncology team, you will support patients through important moments in their treatment journey, delivering compassionate care, reassurance and support when it is needed most.

No prior Radiation Oncology experience is required. We provide full training and support, making this a rare opportunity to step into a specialised and rewarding area of nursing.

With Monday to Friday clinic hours only, you will enjoy your evenings and weekends free while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

More specifically, you will: 

You will play a key role in delivering safe, coordinated, and patient centred care by:

• Providing high quality nursing care within a radiation oncology setting, supporting both physical and emotional needs
• Delivering patient education and hands on care, including skin and wound management and medication administration
• Coordinating daily patient flow to support a smooth and positive treatment experience
• Collaborating with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, and Patient Services teams to ensure integrated care delivery
• Building trusted relationships with patients and supporting them through their treatment journey
• Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation to enable continuity of care
• Following clinical protocols and best practice standards
• Applying medication safety principles consistently
• Using structured communication such as ISBAR to support safe team collaboration
• Contributing to a reliable, supportive, and team focused culture

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

You bring both clinical capability and a strong commitment to patient experience:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least two years of post-graduate nursing experience preferred
• Experience in oncology or radiation oncology is highly regarded, with training available for the right candidate
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and provide reassurance
• Sound clinical judgement and effective problem-solving skills
• A commitment to best practice and continuous improvement aligned with NSQHS standards
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development
• Experience in wound care management
