Registered Nurse - Surgical Ward

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a well-established private hospital surgical ward. This senior-level role is ideal for a clinician with extensive acute surgical experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working independently while delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

This position offers exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties, with Orthopaedics being essential, as well as Urology, General Surgery, Bowel Resections and Robotic Surgery. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality acute post-operative care and supporting patients throughout their surgical recovery journey.

As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based care to patients within a busy surgical ward. You will utilise your strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills to manage complex post-operative patients while collaborating closely with surgeons, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Essential Criteria

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Minimum 4 years' experience in acute surgical nursing

• Extensive Orthopaedic nursing experience (essential)

• Strong background in acute post-operative care

• Ability to work autonomously in a senior clinical capacity

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
