Registered Nurse-Theatre

IQN and CAP Graduates: This client will only accept candidates with 2 years +NZ experience or candidates with relevant experience in UK or Singapore, Canada and South Africa.

About the Role:
Collaborate with some of Auckland’s top surgical specialists to provide exceptional clinical care in cardio-thoracic services. This is a permanent position with a Monday to Friday schedule in your preferred FTE. Enjoy varied shift lengths between 7 am and 8:30 pm, along with a Christmas close-down period to help you maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Scrubbing and circulating for adult cardiac and broader perioperative services
• Setting up the theatre before and after procedures
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Documenting the use of consumable items
• Providing excellent preoperative patient care and communication
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience:
• Registered Nurse with a current NZ APC
• 2+ years of experience in cardiac theatre, specifically open heart surgery
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• A desire to grow and develop in this role
• Commitment to ongoing professional education
