Registered Nurse

St Vincent's Private Hospital

The role:

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Hybrid and Interventional team within the Operating Theatres at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney (SVPHS) in a full time capacity. We are seeking nurses with Interventional Vascular experience, interventional neuro or perioperative vascular experience. Those with cardiac catheter exposure are also encouraged to apply.


St Vincent’s Private Hospital is a leading facility with 16 operating rooms with state of the art equipment, one of which is a hybrid operating room. The hybrid operating room services the vascular, cardiac and neuroradiology services within the hospital.


As a member of the perioperative team, you will form a key part for the direct perioperative care of the patient undergoing interventional procedures. This multi-disciplinary team are a dynamic and skilled group of clinicians that ensure the safety and wellbeing of the patients undergoing minimally invasive image guided techniques to diagnose and treat vascular disease. This successful candidate will have acquired clinical skills in interventional procedural work such as angioplasty, stenting, endoluminal and other vascular procedures. In addition to the role, you will have the opportunity to participate in all learning and development activities.

ABOUT YOU:

As an outstanding Registered Nurse in the perioperative team, your skills will include:

  • Skills in customer service and supportive towards patients in an environment where they feel safe, valued and respected
  • Demonstrated excellence in effective communication
  • Demonstrates respect and collegiality within the multidisciplinary team acknowledging all participants contribute to the delivery of safe and effective patient care

Essential requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Post Graduate qualifications in an associated relevant field an advantage but not essential
  • Experience with interventional or perioperative vascular procedures
  • Have excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy and ability and capacity to work with Electronic Medical Records
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong committed team player with ability to be self-directed
  • Demonstrated commitment to their own and others ongoing professional development



REMUNERATION:
Classification/Grade: $36.62 - $51.43 + salary packaging + superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances

Criminal record and child protection checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria.

SVPHS has a duty of care under work health and safety legislation to eliminate and/or control the risk of transmission of vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) in healthcare settings. You are therefore required to comply with the SVHA Staff Health Screening Immunisation Policy, which, depending on the role you perform in the organisation will require you to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including COVID-19 and flu vaccinations).
