As GenesisCare continues our exciting growth here in Western Australia, we are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting for our brand-new Radiation Oncology Clinic that recently opened in the beautiful Great Southern region, Albany.

We now have a Registered Nurse opportunity available, working permanent full-time (Monday to Friday).

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical care, education and support the delivery of an exceptional patient experience by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

More specifically you will:

• Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
• Interact with patients and undertake education, wound management and drug administration.
• Effectively manage nursing patient load.
• Facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physics, and radiation therapy staff.
• Provide patient feedback to the doctors and radiation therapy staff.
• Ensure all patient episodes of care or interventions are documented, communicated and actioned.
• Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices and clinical guidelines in line with best practice nursing standards.
• Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
• Establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool to all allied health services along with supported documented evidence.
• Comply with patient handover procedures as per ISBAR communication tool.
• Support the clinical introduction of new medications / drugs and nursing products by demonstrating knowledge and application in the patient care setting.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• We are a multi-skilled oncology team who work across radiation oncology so experience in radiation oncology is preferred but not essential as we will provide training as needed for the successful candidate.
• Clinical experience as a nurse with demonstrated understanding of oncology and the ability to liaise with allied health care.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
• Strong commitment to quality patient care.
• Commitment to or evidence of continuing your professional development.
• Wound care management experience.
• Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems, as well as MS Office is highly preferred.
• We are a multi-skilled oncology team who work across radiation oncology so experience in radiation oncology is preferred but not essential as we will provide training as needed for the successful candidate.
