We have a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our friendly and close-knit team at our Mandurah Oncology Clinic working full-time, on a max term contract through to November 2027.

Working across both medical oncology and radiation oncology, you'll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients throughout their cancer treatment.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to continue developing their oncology skills while making a genuine difference to patients and their families.

What you'll be doing

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will:

• Provide high-quality nursing care, education and support to patients throughout their treatment.
• Assess and respond to patients' physical and psychological needs.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in line with clinical protocols.
• Provide wound care and ongoing patient education.
• Manage your nursing patient load and ensure care is appropriately documented and communicated.
• Work closely with our doctors, Radiation Therapists, Patient Services team and allied health professionals.
• Support safe and effective patient handover using ISBAR communication principles.
• Contribute to clinical quality, best practice and continuous improvement.
• Support the introduction of new medications, treatments and nursing practices within the clinic.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.

You'll ideally have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical nursing experience, with an understanding of oncology care.
• Medical oncology and chemotherapy administration experience highly regarded.
• Radiation oncology experience desirable, but not essential – training can be provided.
• Experience in wound care management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and demonstrate empathy with patients and their families.
• Good clinical judgement, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to quality improvement, best practice and the NSQHS Standards.
• Confidence using electronic clinical systems and Microsoft Office.
