THE ROLE
As a Rehabilitation Counsellor some of your responsibilities will include: playing a crucial role in guiding individuals on their journey to recovery by providing one on one support that helps them navigate both the emotional and practical aspects of returning to work and life after injury or illness. You will conduct comprehensive assessments to develop tailored rehabilitation plans that address each client’s unique needs and goals, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with health professionals, employers, insurers, and community resources to ensure holistic support. Your mission is to empower clients by equipping them with the tools and strategies necessary to regain their confidence, enhance their skills, and achieve their aspirations. The role is based in Burnley, Melbourne as an office, however there will be travel across Great Melbourne for onsite assessments.
THE ESSENTIALS
- Empower Recovery and Reintegration
- Guide individuals on their journey to recovery, helping them navigate the transition back to work and daily life after injury or illness.
- Return To Work Experience
- Previous experience in a similar environment - either in Psychology, or as a Social Worker
- Degree in Related Field
- Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor is advantageous
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and offer tailored case management services across diverse customer portfolios.
- Provide compassionate counselling to those facing unexpected shifts in their career paths and life circumstances.
- Leverage your clinical expertise to support clients in reclaiming their pre injury roles or pursuing new career opportunities.
- Cultivate strong relationships with health professionals, specialists, employers, insurers, and other key stakeholders to champion positive outcomes for every client.
