Reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager, you'll contribute to high quality financial outcomes while partnering with leaders across Finance, Payroll, People & Culture, and Operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who thrives on ownership, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement in a collaborative and purpose driven environment.
This Full Time hybrid role offers the flexibility to work between our Corporate Head Office and home, providing a balance of collaboration, connection, and flexibility while supporting a dynamic national finance team.
More specifically, you will:

- Prepare and post payroll-related journals as part of the monthly financial close process.
- Reconcile and post EBA calculations and accruals where required.
- Perform reconciliations of payroll-related balance sheet accounts; reconcile and account for statutory payroll obligations and prepare monthly provisions and accruals for employee-related liabilities.
- Own the accounting, reconciliation and reporting of government grant revenue, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and accounting standards.
- Manage ad-hoc customer invoicing and receivables, including reconciliations and timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Partner with stakeholders across Payroll, People & Culture, Operations and Finance to deliver accurate financial outcomes, analysis, and insights to support decision making and financial reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, controls, and systems, while supporting finance transformation projects.
- Provide technical accounting support and contribute to broader finance initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 5 years' experience in financial accounting, group accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience managing complex reconciliations and reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical capability.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and confidently.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification or be working towards completion.
Benefits of joining our team:
- Join a purpose led organisation making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and communities.
- Work alongside a collaborative and high performing finance team.
- Access ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.
- Be involved in finance transformation and business improvement initiatives that drive real impact.
- Utilise our Employee Assistance Program, providing confidential wellbeing, financial, legal, and counselling support for you and your family.
- Enjoy additional benefits including Fitness Passport, discounted health insurance through Bupa, gym discounts, and Qantas Club membership savings.
