Senior Occupational Therapist – Adelaide Metro area



Talent Quarter are delighted to be assisting our established client based in central to North Adelaide with this Senior Occupational Therapist role, who will be joining their Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre team to provide therapy services to autistic children and their families who access the service.

The role



As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be providing clinical supervision and support to a team of three Ots and 2 Allied Health Assistants. Your caseload will be paediatric based which primarily consists of developmental delays, such as autism.


The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist will include, but not be limited to:

  • Your caseload will be 25 per week with full autonomy over your calendar
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating a range of assessments, programs and services for your clients
  • Assess the needs of customers allocated to caseload and develop therapy plans
  • Providing regular supervision and professional development to your caseload, other therapists, allied health assistants and students
  • Supporting staff with the scheduling of clients
  • Guide, support and mentor staff performance and development to ensure the provision of high quality therapy in line with evidence-based practice
  • Orientation of new therapists, monitoring performance of therapists and providing feedback to Clinical Lead, where required
  • Proactively engage the community and potential customers to promote services and develop therapy plans appropriately
  • Participate in regular supervision
  • Ensure all documentation is outcome based, accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner



About you



To be considered for the role of Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have at least 3 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist with a demonstrated knowledge of developmental delays and disabilities related to children and young people.


In addition to the above, you will also have:

  • A University degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and full general registration with AHPRA
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Current police clearance
  • Current SA Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
  • Current driving licence
  • Full Australian working rights
