GenesisCare is looking for a passionate Senior Patient Services Officer (Administration Manager) to join our supportive team at our Auchenflower (The Wesley) Clinic on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is more than a reception leadership role. You'll be at the heart of creating an exceptional patient experience, leading a dedicated Patient Services team while working alongside a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering world-class cancer care.

About the role
You'll lead our Patient Services team while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day operation of the clinic. You'll foster a positive team culture, support continuous improvement, and ensure every patient receives compassionate, professional and seamless care from their first interaction with GenesisCare.

You will:

• Lead, coach and support our Patient Services team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
• Create a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Drive service excellence by monitoring patient feedback and implementing improvements.
• Support change initiatives and continuous improvement across the practice.
• Develop and coach team members through ongoing feedback and performance support.
• Build strong relationships with referring doctors, practice managers and external healthcare providers.
• Assist patients with enquiries relating to Radiation Oncology billing, Medicare, the Medicare Safety Net and out-of-pocket costs.
• Use reporting and clinic data to support operational improvements and service delivery.

About you

We're looking for someone who is passionate about people, thrives in a busy healthcare environment and enjoys leading by example.

You'll bring:

• Experience leading or supervising a team, or the confidence and capability to step into your first leadership role.
• Strong experience in medical administration or medical reception.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with Medicare, DVA, private health funds and medical billing processes.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A collaborative, flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Experience using clinical administration systems together with Microsoft Office applications.
