About the Role
You are an experienced Psychologist who has worked with consumers presenting with disordered eating. You will be trained in CBT-e, DBT. You will have broad experience either within a public or private setting in supporting consumers recovery from a strengths-based model.
Your role will consist of the following requirements:
- Intake, Assessment and diagnostic clarification of consumers referred for the day program and also the Austin Eating Disorders Unit
- Provide DBT based group programs for consumers
- Provide 1:1 key worker support session for consumers and their families
- Participate in providing meal support to consumers on the day program
Classifications for this position will range from PL1 to PL4 per annum ($108,279 - $123,905 per annum pro rata).
Your Contribution
- Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology recognised by the Australian Psychological Society and registered as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About BETRS
BETRS is a community-based, outpatient service for people with eating disorders, their families and carers. It links with the In Patient Specialist Eating Disorders Beds at Austin Health. The Service provides assessment and treatment planning, group therapy, day program and home based meal support. The Service is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team and operates in line with evidence based best practice and the World Wide Charter for Action on Eating Disorders. The Service contributes to a continuum of care between primary, tertiary, inpatient and community based services.
