Accredited Training Role | Tasmania | Up to $189K Package | Fixed-Term Full-Time

An outstanding opportunity is available for a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join a supportive tertiary team in Tasmania. This accredited position is ideally suited to a Level 5 or 6 trainee looking to consolidate advanced obstetric and gynaecological skills while stepping into a role with genuine senior responsibility.
This is the kind of role that gives you the clinical exposure, autonomy, and mentorship needed to confidently transition into specialist practice.

The Opportunity
In this senior accredited training position, you will work across a broad and rewarding Obstetrics & Gynaecology caseload within a collaborative tertiary environment. Youll gain valuable senior-level experience while continuing to refine your clinical, surgical, and leadership capabilities.

Key areas of exposure include:
  • Tertiary-level antenatal and intrapartum care
  • Labour ward leadership and complex case management
  • Ultrasound experience
  • General gynaecology
  • Consolidation of surgical skills, including laparoscopic surgery
  • Supervision and support of Registrars and Resident Medical Officers
  • Teaching, training, and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight

About You
To be considered, you will need:
  • Current AHPRA registration essential
  • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Current Working with Children Registration, where applicable
  • Ongoing compliance with professional registration requirements
Highly desirable:
  • Successful completion of the RANZCOG examination
