Senior Rehabilitation Consultant
A career transition opportunity for Registered Nurses
Sydney Metro | Hybrid | $90,000–$110,000 + Super
If you are a registered nurse feeling worn down by shift work, constant pressure, limited autonomy or the lack of a long-term career pathway, this role offers a genuine alternative.
This is an opportunity to transition into a professional, outcomes-focused consultancy role within occupational rehabilitation, while continuing to use your clinical judgement, communication skills and professional credibility.
What is occupational rehabilitation
Occupational rehabilitation is not bedside nursing and it is not shift work.
It is a clinical consultancy role focused on helping injured workers recover, return to work safely and navigate complex workers compensation and personal injury systems.
You work with treating doctors, employers and insurers to assess capacity, plan recovery and influence outcomes early, reducing long-term disability and unnecessary claim escalation.
If you enjoy problem solving, autonomy and working with adults in a structured professional environment, this work will make sense quickly.
About Santegis
Santegis is a specialist workplace rehabilitation provider operating across complex workers compensation and personal injury claims.
We are intentionally structured to deliver high-quality outcomes while maintaining sustainable workloads and professional standards.
We do not chase volume.
We do not compromise clinical judgement.
We build long-term nursing careers outside the hospital system.
Many of our senior consultants are nurses who transitioned out of acute and community settings for greater sustainability, autonomy and professional longevity.
Why nurses choose this role
No shift work
No night duty
No on-call roster
No double shifts or unsafe staffing ratios
Dedicated annual leave that you actually take
Instead, you get:
Monday to Friday professional hours
Hybrid working with flexibility and autonomy
Time to think, plan and influence outcomes
Respect for your clinical judgement
A clear pathway beyond traditional nursing roles
This is a senior role in responsibility and influence, not just in title.

Manage a complex caseload across workers compensation and personal injury schemes
Conduct assessments and develop recovery and return-to-work strategies
Coordinate with doctors, employers and insurers

Support and mentor junior consultants
Contribute to improving systems, quality and professional standards
You will be trusted to manage your work professionally, decisively and ethically.
