An exceptional opportunity has opened for a Palliative Medicine Specialist (or experienced SMO with Palliative Care expertise) to join a service undergoing major redevelopment and expansion. Backed by permanent funding through the Queensland Health Palliative Care Reform Program, it is building a stronger, modern, patient-centred Palliative Care service and you can be part of it.

About the Role
Join a revitalised service led by newly appointed Senior Consultant and play a key role in shaping a hub-and-spoke model that will support the locals.
In this role, you will:
  • Deliver holistic, compassionate care across inpatient, community and hospice settings
  • Provide advanced symptom management and complex decision support
  • Work within a highly collaborative MDT including Nurse Practitioners and specialist nursing
  • Influence service development, workforce planning and clinical governance
  • Work to the top of your scope and contribute to a growing regional model of care

What Were Looking For
  • Staff Specialists: FAChPM (RACP) or eligibility
  • SMO: FRACGP/FACRRM with significant Palliative Medicine experience (Clinical Diploma desirable)
  • Strong communication, teamwork and a compassionate, patient-centred approach
  • Commitment to ongoing CPD
