About the Role
- Monday – Friday role
- Work normal business hours between 8am – 5pm
- On Call once every 4-6 weeks
- Management/Leadership position for a compassionate Social Services professional
- Residential Service for about 5-6 clients at a time
- Resident stay times vary between short stints of a couple months and longer stays, a year or longer

What you have to do
- This is a residential Youth Service so experience working with vulnerable young people is essential
- The team is very self-sufficient and is high performing so someone with experience and collaborative leadership presence is necessary
- Take on referrals from external agencies and process them accordingly with your team
- Provide solutions to escalated issues in house, leaning on your experience as a frontline social service professional
- Ensure your team is well trained, up to date with current compliances/policies
- Provide rostering solutions and ensure there is cover for any kind of leave within the team
- Be an external contact on the odd occasion to help when needed across the organisation
- Join your mental health professionals in their meetings with the clients and their families to help provide a smooth operating service for all involved
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary level qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or Occupational Therapy
- FULL Registration with the governing body
- of your qualification (SWRB, NZOTB, NZAC) is essential
- Management level experience
- Family counselling, School Counselling and Youth Work experience are highly sought after experience for this position and team
- Full, clean, New Zealand Driver’s license
