Client Description

• Major Public hospital for the Central Queensland Region, that is well equipped with leading edge technology to operate as a fully digital facility. The facility has a great working environment, encourages professional development and supporting staff is their priority.

Mandatory Experience

General:

• Abdo/Renal US
• Liver/Liver elastography

Small parts:

• Thyroid/neck
• Breasts/axilla
• Soft tissue/lumps/collections
• Testes

Vascular:

• Leg vein/DVT
• Arm veins/DVT
• Carotids
• Aorta

Obstetrics/Gynae:

• Pelvis
• 1st Trimester (Not Nuchals)
• Morphology
• 3rd Trimester/ AFI & Dopplers

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
• Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS

MSK:

• Basic MSK preferable but not mandatory

Paediatrics:

• Basic paeds scans such as abdomen/renal/DDH preferable but not mandatory

Mandatory Competencies

• Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or AHPRA Registration (RAD/SONO)
• Basic life support
• Manual and patient handling
• Infection control including hand hygiene
• Occupational Violence Prevention Training incorporating de-escalation skills, situational awareness, and maintaining personal safety
• Mandatory reporting of reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect

Additionally, the candidate must agree to undertake any of the following as required by our HHS:

• Integrated electronic medical record training
• Online induction training
• Any other training as requested
