An outstanding opportunity is available for a Specialist in Radiation Oncology to join a major tertiary referral and teaching hospital.
This position offers exposure to complex and varied oncology presentations, advanced radiation therapy technology, multidisciplinary clinical practice, registrar supervision and meaningful research opportunities.

The Hospital and Cancer Centre
You will join one of Australias leading non-metropolitan tertiary hospitals and a major referral centre. The hospital provides a broad range of specialist and subspecialist services and maintains strong partnerships with a nearby university medical school.

The comprehensive cancer centre brings together radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, haematologists, palliative care physicians, specialist nurses and allied health professionals.
Its advanced facilities include:

• Five linear accelerators with Hexapod technology
• MRI-guided linear accelerator technology
• 4D cone beam CT
• Stereotactic brain and body radiotherapy
• 4DCT simulation
• HDR brachytherapy for gynaecological cancers
• Superficial radiation therapy
• Real-time transperineal prostate ultrasound tracking
• Access to 3T MRI and advanced PET imaging, including FDG, Gallium-68 PSMA and DOTATATE

The centre provides contemporary investigation and treatment options locally, allowing patients across a vast regional catchment to access high-quality specialist cancer care closer to home.

The Opportunity
You will provide tertiary referral radiation oncology services in accordance with professional, ethical and evidence-based standards.
The cancer centre is accredited for five radiation oncology registrar training positions and offers an excellent environment for specialists with an interest in education, supervision and professional development.

Research is strongly encouraged, including original projects, international technology collaborations and participation in multicentre trials, with a particular emphasis on TROG research.

About You
To be considered, you should demonstrate:

• Clinical experience in Radiation Oncology to a standard recognised by AHPRA and RANZCR
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologist FRANZCRor eligibility to obtain FRANZCR within 12 months

Internationally qualified Radiation Oncologists holding a recognised specialist qualification are encouraged to enquire, subject to RANZCR specialist assessment and AHPRA registration requirements.
