The Role:
We are seeking interest from suitably qualified Specialist/Consultant Anaesthetists to join the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine positions.
Applicants will be expected to have a strong clinical background, in addition to experience in research, teaching, quality assurance and administration/management in a public hospital.

The Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine is a high-quality specialist teaching department with significant research activity. We participate in multi-centre research trials and encourage local research. We have strong links with University of Tasmania Faculty of Health Science and the Menzies Research centre.
The Hospital:
The 600 bed Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for the state, it provides a hospital service for a catchment of 250,000.

And subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of Base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid
Essential Requirements:
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a FANZCA or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand assessed as substantially comparable.
