Speech Pathologist – Cockburn, WA


The company


You will be joining an established allied health provider who provides holistic, comprehensive and evidence-based therapy services to their clients within the NDIS. Their multi-disciplinary team works with clients across the age span within the NDIS which includes children through to adults, and where appropriate and relevant, their families and carers.


The role



As the Speech Pathologist, you will be working with other Allied Health professionals to support your clients. You will be tasked with providing professional and clinical care to all patients.


The duties and responsibilities of the Speech Pathologist will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing speech pathology services to children, adolescents and adults to treat speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders
  • Provide high quality evidence-based assessment and intervention for clients
  • Ensure that services are integrated and follow up, coordinate and communicate as required with other internal and external providers
  • Manage and maintain your own caseload with a clear understanding of your clients plan and goals
  • Develop, organise and undertake therapeutic interventions with clients and their families, where relevant
  • Liaise and collaborate with agencies, schools, organisations, departments, participants and their families as required for the effective implementation of services
  • Prepare or provide discipline-specific reports where required
  • Involvement in identifying the most appropriate location or environment for the provision of services, i.e. home, school, clinic or community



About you

To be considered for the role, you will have a tertiary degree in Speech Pathology as well as:

  • Member of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Current police clearance
  • Current WA Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
  • Current driving licence
  • Full Australian working rights
