About the Role
Under the guidance of the Team Manager and Team Consultant Psychiatrist, and in conjunction with team members, provide a high level of leadership and supervision to staff, coordinating day to day clinical work, resources and consumer flow, deputising for the Team Manager when required. This position will provide a high standard of clinical support to consumers with a lived experience of multiple complex problems including serious mental illness, associated psychosocial issues, and substance use issues.
- Provide leadership to multidisciplinary staff members, and actively contribute to clinical practice within the mental health service as a senior staff member ensuring that clinical practice standards are met.
- Lead and contribute to service development and quality activities, such as policy and procedure development, delivery of education, and development of projects and portfolios
- Assist the Team Manager in ensuring the team meets clinical and operational targets by providing clinical and line supervision to individual staff members regularly.
Classifications for this position will range from:
- RPN Grade 5 NP51 ($136,822 per annum pro rata)
- OT/SW Grade 5 AJ11 - AJ14 or AJ57 - AJ60 ($129,859 - $143,098 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy or Social Work, Division 3 or Division 1 Nurse with Psychiatric Endorsement from the Nurses Board of Victoria.
- Current registration or eligibility for appropriate professional body.
- A minimum of 7 years post qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social Work.
- Usually 5 years post qualification in Nursing dependent on demonstrated and proven abilities.
- Extensive experience in the delivery of clinical mental health services and preferably in a diverse range of mental health service settings, knowledge of relevant legislation, mental health policy directions and principles and practice of community based service delivery including case management.

Employing the Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, the multidisciplinary team delivers tailored clinical and therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs of consumers with a lived experience of mental illness.
