ABOUT THE ROLE

Apex Radiology has a rare opportunity for an experienced Tutor Sonographer to join our team in Mandurah, WA on a full-time or part-time basis.

This rewarding leadership role is ideal for a passionate Sonographer who enjoys mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping shape the next generation of imaging professionals. You will lead and coordinate our structured ultrasound training program, supporting Sonographers and Sonography students through hands-on supervision, in-house assessments, and clinical development.

Working closely with our IDX Ultrasound Training Program Manager, you will play a key role in building capability across the team while remaining connected to clinical practice across a variety of subspecialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver structured training programs for Sonographers and students
  • Provide hands-on supervision, mentoring, and clinical coaching
  • Support competency assessments and learning milestones
  • Foster a positive learning culture across the ultrasound team
  • Drive quality improvement and best-practice standards
  • Collaborate with leaders to strengthen capability across the business

ABOUT YOU

  • Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography (or equivalent) accredited by ASAR
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a qualified Sonographer
  • Broad clinical capability across General, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Breast, MSK and Vascular studies
  • Proven ability to mentor, train and support developing Sonographers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
  • Passion for education, coaching and continuous improvement
  • Flexible and supportive approach to learner development
