As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred orthopaedic services across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialist orthopaedic assessment, treatment and management
- Conducting consultant-led outpatient clinics
- Managing elective and emergency orthopaedic presentations
- Providing specialist consultation services to the Emergency Department and inpatient teams
- Supporting community-based orthopaedic services
- Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching and research activities
- Contributing to the education and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students
- Upper and lower limb conditions
- Hip and knee disorders
- Major joint pathology
- Fracture management and trauma care
- Sports and acute injuries
- Back and musculoskeletal conditions
- Pre-operative and post-operative orthopaedic care

Essential Requirements
To be successful you will have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedic Surgery or be assessed by RACS as Substantially Comparable
- Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated expertise in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care
- Experience in teaching, mentoring and clinical supervision
- Interest in research, quality improvement and service development
