Health and Social Care Studies Certificate of Credit

The Health and Social Care Certificate of Credit is a 10 week, Level 5, 20 credit module aimed at professionals who are looking to enhance their knowledge and expertise in health and social care or for those who may need to refresh their academic skills to go onto acquire the relevant qualifications within their role. It is also ideal for health and social care who may not have the level of experience of academic study that is required for UK degrees.

For many health and social care professionals, understanding and applying research methods and evidence is now an important skill needed in a wide range of roles. This course aims to help you develop the transferable skills needed to conduct research, including identifying research questions, analysing information, reviewing literature, collecting and analysing data to presenting the main findings in a professional manner.

Transferable and practical skills

This course will prepare you for further study as well as give you the knowledge and understanding required for reflective analysis or your own personal abilities and practice. You will use a range of self-assessment and evaluation techniques that give you the opportunity to identify and reflect on your own opportunities, threats and future development. The course aims to also shape the way to help you develop a plan for future CPD through the use of critical thinking, digital literacy, academic writing and study skills.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

As a health and social care professional, we know that CPD is a vital part of your practice. Although undertaking CPD for your learning and reflective practice is a requirement of maintaining your professional practice, it is also an opportunity to improve the quality of your care. This course offers you the opportunity to develop industry specific, transferable skills while contributing towards your continuous training and CPD.
