Post Graduate Courses

Post Graduate Courses, which typically require multiple years of study for completion, are generally available to health professionals that have already completed an undergraduate bachelors degree in their chosen field.  In some cases, entry to post-graduate programs may require students to have completed a minimum number of years work experience in their chosen field.

Post Graduate qualifications are very highly regarded in the health industry.  The vast majority of senior or management level roles within the health industry require or highly recommend post graduate qualifications.

Post Graduate qualifications typically involve either course work (i.e. attending lectures and completing a set curriculum of learning), or research in a particular area of specialisation or a combination of course work and research.

CPD Courses

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a requirement imposed on health professionals in Australia which reflects an expectation that health professionals need to ensure their knowledge and skills stay up to date and reflect current technology, research and best practice.

Health practitioners in Australia are regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and AHPRA in conjunction with a number of profession specific National Boards (such as the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) set the CPD requirements that health professionals need to comply with in order to maintain their registration to work in their chosen profession.  20 hours of CPD training per year is the typical requirement for health professionals in Australia.

Use our course search to find CPD courses available to you, or subscribe to receive our monthly CPD and Education Focus email publications.
