Pre COVID-19, this was a pretty good salary for an Australian nurse but post COVID-19 with the massive inflation spike, this is no longer an attractive salary for Aussie nurses.

While the demand for Australian nurses to work in different fields of healthcare throughout the country continues to be at an all-time high, their financial compensation leaves a lot to be desired. Medical professionals including registered nurses launched a strike in 2024 over compensation and benefits being awarded to them.
