What do you call a veterinarian who can only take care of one species? A physician.

Humans and animals suffer many of the same diseases and conditions, and physicians are sometimes asked to assist in animal cases, so why is there not more crossover between the medical and veterinary community?

In the following video Barbara Natterson-Horowitz, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at UCLA Medical School, explains how crossing the species barrier can improve medical care, particularly when it comes to mental health.
