Here are six amazing pain relief devices to know about if you’re suffering from any type of chronic pain or discomfort.

6 Amazing Pain Relief Devices That You Need to Know About

1) The TENS unit:

The TENS unit or TENS machine is a form of pain relief that utilises electronic impulses applied via electrodes. These impulses cause a tingling sensation which can mask some types of pain and promote the production of endorphins in the body. The TENS unit is controlled by a handheld device and has been found effective for treating joint pain, muscle soreness, chronic back pain, labour contractions, and even migraines. Most insurance plans will cover a home TENS unit if it is prescribed by your physician. In order to use the TENS unit at home, it's important to set up your electrode pads correctly and replace them as needed.

2) Heat therapy:

Heat therapy provides relief for pain through increased blood flow, which will reduce pressure in your body's tissue. This treatment can be done by a heating pad, hot water bottle, sunbathing, or even sitting near the fireplace. One of the great things about this type of therapy is that it is low cost and doesn't require any medications or appointments. Heat treatments are best used for chronic conditions that affect large areas of the body such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and tendinitis. While these types of therapies offer some form of relief from pain, one must be cautious when using heat because too much heat can lead to burns and excessive sweating, which can lead to dehydration.

3) Cold therapy:

Cold therapy is better suited for more localised injuries like sprained ankles or muscle strain. For example, people with a sprained ankle should apply ice as soon as possible after their injury. Ice will reduce any swelling and prevent a more serious injury in the future. It's also helpful if you're trying to stop pain right away. If you're not sure how much time to spend icing an injury, go by your doctor's instructions or try 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off (unless they recommend otherwise). There are a few different types of cold therapies including ice packs and ice baths. Cryotherapy is also an option where you expose yourself to very cold temperatures with subzero temperatures often being used in sports medicine facilities.

4) Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy:

One of the newest technologies used in pain relief devices is a stem cell procedure called Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, or PRP. By extracting and concentrating your own blood, your doctor can grow new cells that can help rebuild damaged tissue. This regenerative medicine procedure is typically used on joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and other connective tissues like cartilage. The extracted platelets are applied directly onto the injured site and cause a natural healing response called inflammation which promotes healthy tissue growth.

5) Intravenous Nutrient Therapy (IV Nutrient Therapy, IVNT):

Intravenous Nutrient Therapy, otherwise known as IV Nutrient Therapy or IVNT, is a treatment for chronic pain and poor quality of life. What this therapy does is it delivers all of the necessary nutrients through an intravenous line that's inserted into a vein in your arm. Some treatments will last a few minutes while others are drawn out over the course of hours or even days depending on what it is you need.

6) Quantum healing therapy:

Quantum Healing Therapy is an innovative form of therapy which can heal people from almost any physical or emotional condition. It utilises the body's innate ability to heal itself through a series of in-person sessions with a trained therapist. This holistic form of therapy can help restore our sense of peace, well-being, and vitality by balancing the energy systems within us.
