Now in 2015, Victorians are being urged to have the conversation with their loved ones about organ and tissue donation.

DonateLife Week, which continues until Sunday August 9, is a national annual awareness campaign that encourages more discussion on the topic.

A new survey, released on Sunday, found 73 per cent of Victorians would say yes to receiving a transplant if they needed one with 69 per cent willing to become an organ and tissue donor.

FEATURED JOBS

Despite this community support, only 49 per cent of Victorians surveyed have made the decision on becoming a donor, and just 55 per cent have discussed the subject with their family.
